Hi there folks! Saw an ask.fm question few days back asking me to update my blog about my birthday, which i was already planning to, so hello anon (even though i feel i know you)!
As i grow older, i realise how much birthdays have changed (for me). It used to be tons and loads of birthday presents in secondary school, and lugging big bags of them home. Oh man that attention you get when you walk around in school with those and people automatically knows it's your birthday. But as years goes by, tangible presents gets lesser and lesser (in fact this year i only have 1 bday gift, from Jon). But one thing you'll realise is though they get lesser, you actually receive more than you did. Gifts that are given to you now, everyday not just on your birthday, are actually more significant and thoughtful than those bundle of gifts you receive in sec school.
In the past birthdays used to be big groups of people celebrating for you. But i guess as we all grow, we realise our true friends, and understand that not all friendships are actually 'meaningful'. Sorry if this actually sound so harsh, but really, as you grow older, you'll realise you only need a handful true ones than with a big group of moderate ones.
Birthdays back then used to be grand and about-all-the-attention. There'll be surprises, big handmade boards, exquisite handmade cards. But now there isn't. I'm not complaining though and it's hard to explain. You'll just grew to realise that those things really aren't the most important anymore. Good friends and your love ones make you feel complete, not just on your birthday. So when you are already living a blessed life everyday, birthdays only become a day where you wish for the best for them.
Before kicking start the post, i would like to thank everyone who celebrated my birthday for me, who wished well for me, and in fact, who loves and dotes on me everyday not just on this day. I feel really blessed :')

It was Yan's actual birthday! We had a simple Karaoke session at Manekineko @ Cineleisure where they had a promotion for only $10 per pax for 2 hours! After which we settled for our dinner at Hai Di Lao @ Clarke Quay before i left for Ethan's birthday!

^ I think there isn't more to add to prove that this friendship is true gold. They are literally my everything, they make me feel happier, better, more blessed, and even when i'm down/broken, they'll always here to piece me back. I love how knitted we are, how each year our friendship gets better and better, and how i'm so fucking sure they'll be my bridesmaid, my organizers for my baby's full month, my child's godma, and so many more. Can't wait for our next China trip already :')
Should i give birth to 5 kids so each of you gets to be one's godma? :)

A simple birthday dinner with my beloved family at The Chophouse @ Vivocity!
^ This is the mushroom garlic toast under the appetisers! This is really good, a-must-order if you're there!
^ Their crispy pork belly under the appetisers as well!
^ Their Berkshire Pork Chop that i read good reviews online so we ordered! I love it so much, it was not disappointing at all!!
^ This is their USDA Prime Ribeye which i felt it was quite disappointing :(

29 August, Monday
My halfway bitch fetched me after school, we lingered around her neighbourhood for about 2 hours where i fell asleep soundly in her car, and then we fetched the late gurl from Novena Mrt!
Then they brought me to House @ Dempsey which i'm so in love with!!! The place and its ambiance is so beautiful (even their toilet is pretty), and food is surprisingly very good as well. You guys ought to visit this place man!!!!
^ The Kong Ba Bao at the left side was SURPRISINGLY good! I mean like kong ba bao from a western restaurant, you definitely wouldn't expect much right? But it turns out so yummy, like the ones my Godma make for hours at home.
And the Wild Mushroom Risotto in the middle is DA BOMB!!! It's not too sticky/starchy, not too wet or dry, it's just right!!!!! It's probably the best risotto i had by far, and just typing this made me salivate. Truffle fries at the right was not too bad as well! :)

Thank you for always having my back, constantly caring for me, getting me with minimal words, being bimbotic with me, against the world with me, and detesting some humans with me. We're bad together and good together, guess good friends influence each other this way HAHA
^ Thank you my sampat pors for this lovely celebration! Really miss NYP days with you girls when i don't even dread school at all. And miss being silly and crazy in school with y'all all day long.

30th August, Tuesday
My actual birthday!
Was lying on my couch at home watching some videos when i got a call at 12am!
^ My favourite girls came for a surprise! Look at how tired they are from a day of work/school, and having work again the next day early in the morning. Yet they still came knowing that they haven't celebrate my actual birthday. They are the sweetest and most thoughtful :')
Later in the afternoon in school, Germaine texted me wanting to pass me something!
^ She got me a cake as her gift! Thanks babe hehe
School ended at 3pm for me, and i went off to meet Jon!
He actually lied to me saying he didn't get me any gift, and that we had to go pick a gift together before we have dinner. So i agreed and brainstormed the previous night on which gift i actually want. But little did i know this lazy-but-not-so-lazy guy actually came up with a small surprise. I spoiled the surprise though haha! He actually shoved the gift box into my bag, and hoping that i will only realise it at the restaurant. But i found it before we even got onto the Uber cab HAHA!
Nonetheless, thank you my dear for this sweet gift, and for the dinner and movies treat!
I didn't have any pictures taken of the gift, but it's actually a necklace from Swarovski! If you follow me on snapchat, you might have already seen it :)
^ Initial plan was to have dinner over at a french restaurant, but i saw how this guy got so excited when he saw Marche, so being a proclaimed sweet girlfriend, i agreed on changing dinner plans to Marche instead!

We went over to Bugis+ to support Weiting at her SMU's SlightlyScarlet pageant! So proud of her though, she look so so stunning when she strut down the stage :')
