20th Sept:
I mentioned in a few Korea posts back that my top 3 favourite Seoul shopping was - DongDaeMun, Garosu-gil and MyeongDong!
Garosu-gil was just the right place to shop for my mom, sis and I. It was just 2 looong streets of retail stores, and our technique was not to miss any shops or great deals, so it was 1 street first, then we took a u-turn and walked along another street.
They had renowned brands like MCM, Hollister, Aland, etc. And also local brands that we may not have heard of it, but were more interested in visiting those. Some of the local brands even have huge sales or clearance sales going on, and so we got some REALLY good deals there!
Overall, Garosu-gil was really my type of shopping heaven. Every shop sells its own unique fashion and unlike Hongdae street that sells the same thing over and over again. Even if it was just window shopping, Garosu-gil is a must go destination!!! :)
After a whole good round here, we took the railway to the Underground Bus Terminal station for another round of shopping!
Wow this place is HUGE. Stores after stores, all in that bus terminal. We didn't managed to walk the entire place, probably only close to half of it?
This is the right place for budget hunters! The stores sell cheap/affordable clothes and you can even try bargaining! But as usual, most of the stores sell pretty much the same things....just maybe in different colours. I didn't get anything from there, but i would say it's not a bad place if you don't mind investing in cheap deals!
^ But we did get some household accessories here!
Dinner was settled at a wholesale seafood market, Noryangjin Market! "You buy, they cook"
At the basement, you can pick your own seafood from the countless number of stores! I must admit, luckily there was my mom with us, or else we wouldn't know how to pick fresh or affordable seafood. If it was me, i would just venture into the store nearest to me.
All the stores sell the same kind of seafood, even though there was ALOT of varieties. But my mom walked around, and she finally bought us some prawns, clams, and fishes! After which we head upstairs to the long ray of restaurants, and settled for 1 particular one because the staff could speak fluent chinese.
But the dinner turned out to be a frightening one after the bill came in with 72,000 Won (SGD 88). We paid 40,000 Won (SGD 49) for the seafood ingredients and had to pay MORE for cooking, when in fact the prawns were only boiled in hot water, and fish were merely grilled with salt.
Anyway it was an epic experience when my mom was quarreling with the staff over how absurdly expensive the meal is, and there i was spamming Soju (Korean rice wine) while my sis was battling after drinking only 1 bowl.
In the end, the conclusion was my mom insisted that she only have 50,000 Won with her, and the staff took the money, chided us for eating but not paying, and then we took our shoes and ran away.
Can't forget that funniest scene when my sis was urging me in chinese "Sis faster! Faster run, what if the people run after us and rape us! Faster!!!"

21st Sept:
Took a bus from Gangnam station all the way to Everland Theme Park!
Everland Theme Park is probably the best theme parks I've ever came across in my life. Not as if I have visited every single one in the world, but those I've stepped on foot - Ocean Park in Hong Kong, Disneyland in Japan, USS in Singapore, Lihpao Land in Taiwan (scariest 90 degrees Gravity Max roller coaster), etc, can't beat Everland's. Really.
It's not only pretty, ok i mean all theme parks are pretty, but it is also filled with roller coasters for people who love the thrill! Not only that, it is accompanied with their zoo!
Their ZooTopia section is the biggest part of the reason why i love this theme park! It's not any ordinary zoo you visit that takes you to see fascinating animals, but it has alot of sections i never get to experience before! Take a look at why i say so later ;)
So basically Everland is like USS + ZOO, can you find such a place anywhere else?!

22nd Sept:
Technically our last day in Korea because the next day was just at the airport.
Spent our morning at a dried food market! It was where my mom and sis got two CARTONS of seaweeds for home. Yes if you follow me on snapchat, you will find it astounding because 2 cartons ain't even enough for them...
Had yummy street side breakfast at the market too! :)
After breakfast, we took a cab to Lotte Mart which was just 5 mins away from our apartment. Got some local snacks as souvenirs and went back home to put down all these stuff! Afterwards spent an entire afternoon at MyeongDong!
MyeongDong is one of my 3 favourite Seoul shopping because it's true to what the internet reviews say, MyeongDong has ALL kinds of skincare brands! And they are really generous in giving you samples. The more you buy, the more free goodies you get!
In addition, it's really wise to get your skincare and cosmetics all at once in MyeongDong, because they have sales, they give you more samples than other outlets, and you can get everything you need there!
I got a whole lot of Innisfree goodies there, lipsticks, and even Too Cool for School masks! I know that Singapore do have these brands, but it's a whole lot cheaper there in Korea, almost less than half of SG's prices!

^ Had Yoogane for dinner and called the day off!

In here you can see white tigers, lions, and bears roaming around FREELY, while you're sitting in an enclosed bus! It's what they say, the right way to admire wildlife animals should be - They are free, we are caged!

^ This is the second section of ZooTopia, the Lost Valley!
In Lost Valley we get to ride a amphibious vehicle where you get to see herbivore animals, and get up close to giraffes!!! An amphibious vehicle is a flat bottomed vehicle that can travel on both land and water! It was super cool because it was my first time coming across this vehicle!

Everland Theme Park really captured my heart :')
^ We spend almost the whole day in Everland and had Budae JJigae near Gangnam station!!! Dinner was goooood :)

^ This simple but FUCKING spicy ramen noodles was my death. I swear it was spicier than Korean fire noodles........ but it was so shiok hehe.
^ And i had the tall ice cream with green tea flavour!!! Super good, and it was even better than the J ice cream i had in Insa-dong!
Walked our way to Namsan Seoul Tower thereafter! N Seoul Tower is Seoul's iconic place, and yes you should definitely pay a visit there because the view was magnificent.
We paid 8,000 Won (SGD 10) each for the round trip cable car ride to the tower! If you're unwilling to pay, you have to hike!
^ It was supposed to be lit up but i don't know why it wasn't that night....
