So busy this week planning the entire itinerary for Japan, then setting up my carousell account to earn some cash from my crammed cupboard, and now coming here to quickly finish more Korea posts!
Yes you hear it right, i'm flying to Japan, next Tuesday. But right now A HELL LOT of things are in a mess, so it's not so much of anticipating its arrival date, but more of anticipating i can clear all this shit soon.

18th Sept:
Shopping day!
^ After breakfast and checking out from our Hanok stay, we proceeded to check into our AirBnb apartment and head for lunch at Sinchon area! This was a taste of home because it tasted like Gong Bao Ji Ding (if you guys understand)! My sis and i both had a bowl of rice because the sauce matched perfectly with it :)
Spent almost the whole afternoon at Ewha Woman University for shopping! The shopping in the back alleys are more appealing to me compared to their main street! So if you can hunt and dig, this place is good for you!
I got my white denim skirt from there!
^ We witness our first fire accident!!
^ Our legs needed a break from all the shopping! Yummy green tea bingsu :')
Afterwards had our second round of shopping at Hongdae!
Was a little disappointed with Hongdae because before making a trip down, i heard alot reviews that the place is suitable for teenagers, and it's a hipster street, etc. But i realised yes they sell clothes that are suitable for people of my age, or even my mother's age, but walking into so many different stores down the street, they seem to sell the same old things....knitted crop top, checkered flannel, coloured skirts....

^ I think everyone would have heard about Stylenanda, and honestly i was abit excited to visit this flagship store at first. They sell chic and fashionable clothes, but they are at the pricey end and most of them ain't my style even though they do look pretty. So i end up only getting some lip products from 3CE!
^ Dinner was Korean BBQ at Hongdae and hands down for this because i never had kbbq on hot stones before!!! The meat wasn't as chewy, tender, and well-marinated compared to the black pork i had in Jeju, but overall the meal was still a good one!
After dinner, we crossed over to another street in Hongdae for more shopping! And this street was much better compared to the previous street. Type of clothes varies in different stores, prices are cheaper and can be bargained, and the whole street is much more lively!

19th Sept:
Got up early and on board the bus tour to Korean Demilitarized Zone, known as DMZ.
Common sense would tell you that Korea is segmented into two parts, North Korea and South Korea. The border that segments them and the security watching both countries is known as DMZ. You're not allowed to visit the DMZ yourself, but only allowed to pay and follow strictly by the guided tour.
This day i learnt ALOT on the history of Korea, how they decided to sign this treaty that they'll from then live in two different types of government. I even took a peek through the telescope on how North Korea looks like, and basically knew alot about Korea. History, in this case it's still the Present, can sometimes be this enticing and interesting :')
DMZ isn't as boring as you think, you might think it's just seeing a border, but not until you go and experience this still-current situation yourself, you'll keep murmur "Cool". I regretted not researching more and sign up for the FULL day tour instead, because the half day tour i took up didn't bring me to a particular place that is most popular in DMZ :(
^ The blue huts represent South Korea, and the tall building you are directly looking at now is North Korea's! I heard both sides discuss politic issues in their individual huts! Yeah but a pity this is the place i didn't get to visit :'(

I had a long yet good 3 hours of chat with my sister last night. Cried together and talked about almost everything in our life. It was a rare kind of chat, the ones that are kinda life-changing and sentimental. I can only say Life has its way of playing around with people.

^ This is call the Freedom Bridge. The bridge that connects the North and South, and in addition, this bridge is where the railway takes the Koreans to both sides when the bridge was still active. However it is now closed and none can escape across the border.
^ I only have these 3 pictures to testify what i saw through the telescope of North Korea.... You gotta take a plane to South Korea and see it for yourself haha!
Had lunch at Insa-dong after the DMZ tour and did some shopping!
Afterwards we did a second round of shopping at the night-life malls in DongDaeMun after our first visit few days back. Had dinner and ended the day off with a needed-yet-good massage! :)
