Fun amidst the stress

So i was feeling really lazy to blog the past week, partly because the exam stress is getting up to me and when i put down the books/laptop/assignments, all i want is laze around at home.

The final exams are around the corner, in addition the submission of a big-fat-module-credit-6 project. But i am coping well with positive strength, so everything will be fine :-)

E-learning for my school last week. Friday date with WT, sogurt for study session > Baker&Cook for dinner > shopping at town.

^ Baker&Cook serves brunch and pastries. But they actually do not have much of a brunch varieties and the only one that appeals to me was Eggs Benedicts. I wanted to give that a try since it has been a long time since i had authentic brunch (the fact that i've been ordering pancakes/waffles nowadays when i visit a brunch cafe), but since WT wanted to order that too then i thought i may as well order sth else!

I forgot what was mine but i didn't had their brunch :'(
WT's egg benedicts was pretty good! It was topped with hollandaise sauce and i think that is why the egg benedicts tasted different from ordinary eggs benny! So i totally recommend this dish :)

Then on wednesday i met up with Crystal after school! It was semi celebratory plus catch-up lunch with her :)
Celebratory because she attained good O-level results!! So happy for her x. And catch-up because she have so much to tell me about. We had lunch at Nana's Green Tea @ Plaza Singapura, because the other day she told me she wants to bring me for my favourite food, and she was referring to MATCHA!!!

^ She got me this matcha cake in a jar which i first had it on my bday last year from my poly babes! I love it so much and i feel so touched when she remembers little things i like :')

^ We shared this dessert, and it was oh my...........freaking good. I am really a huge fan of matcha and this tasted better than the dessert i had from Matcha House! I was so happy that day hehe
PS: The dark green jellies at the bottom tasted a little weird to me......

Great day ended with a movie - The Land of Hercules.
Errrmmmmm i don't recommend this movie at all.

Last but not least, #allaboutyew on 17th Jan!!!
It was Vanessa's 18th birthday on friday! And since she loves dim sum, we decided to have it at Red Star! Red Star is my fav dim sum place because in the past i visit it most of the time with my cousins. But that day when we were there only then we realise they don't serve dim sum at night. Such a waste. But we still settled for the chinese cuisine.

^ Red Star is located at Outram!

^ Sharon left early so she isn't in the picture!

^ SayHao! I remember he was one of my best buddies during sec 1 and 2 days~

After contemplating on a long time where to head after the dinner, we decided on Bishan Park! Took almost half an hour to flag a cab for 9 of us because apparently all the available cabs do not want to take our business.

^ Jiayan and i looked so sweet at the side ;)

^ This is the perfect picture i can ever ask for :')

^ Yeong came down after his work!

It was a great night when we sat down on the cold hard floor and started playing question games. Everyone was laughing at little things we racked up and it was hilarious. I think i really ran out of adjectives to describe my love for them. They are my only big group of friends that can make me feel so comfortable, and whenever i know we are going to meet soon, it is just my only source of anticipation for that period. Seeing their faces make me feel so happy and they just unintentionally digs up my most unglamourous self. With each passing year, i've never been more contented and grateful for the beautiful relationships i've been blessed with in my life. So thank you my precious pearls for being one of them xx.

Time passed really fast when you are enjoying yourself and it was 1am when we decided to leave!

Trena decided to walk home (she lives in yio chu kang) and i agreed to accompany her because i enjoy walking at night! It was a long walk home but a really great one because that night was so breezy and when the chilly wind keeps hitting you on your face, it feels so good :)

I officially reached home at 3am after flagging a cab when i reached Trena's place.
Best night by far this year :')

So happy legal Vanessa Yew! (Explains why it is #allaboutyew, invented by XiaoYing)

Ps: Do check out the vlog video of Vanessa's bday on facebook! I have shared it on my timeline, so if you're my friend you can view it ! :)

Should probably continue on my project! Let me bring Winnie down for a walk first, she looks really bored. See you in my next one guys!
