Hello readers here, finally back to blog a proper post. As much as all of you know, i went to Cambodia on the 10th to 14th of March. It's definitely an awesome trip & i would love to extend our days there. It was my first trip i felt i really learnt something, i really felt it was a precious and memorable trip, perhaps due to our Coach. Shall elaborate on my trip as i go along.
I advised you guys to read everything if you are really interested in how Cambodia is, and how we contributed our service, no matter how boring it seems, have a heart people :)
Cambodia Precious Day 1- Set off at about 10.30 am in the morning, happy to see my lovely friends sending me off. And once we touched down in Cambodia, we went straight to the supermart. The first thing that came right up to me when i reached Cambodia is: It doesn't look as bad as what i think huh. But this change as days go past. Visited the supermart for some groceries and snack shopping.
And straight after we went to the T-House @ Lakeside. The T-House is actually a area that "High Achievers" own in Cambodia. "High Achievers", which most of you all know, is an organisation that is part of bringing pupils to Cambodia/Vietnam and etc. So Coach Choilin, who set up this organisation, is also our coach for this whole trip, and she's really an intelligent woman, she taught me lots of things in real life. The lakeside area is known as the Railway Slum, which means it's slums on the railways. yes no joking matter, we witnessed it.
And so the purpose of going there is that we are going to set up a bazaar for the students that could not afford to go school but visit the centre everyday. This centre, owned by High Achievers, actually reward the students that go to their centre for education everyday, and if their attendance is good/their behaviour is good on that day or they do their homework, the 'teachers' actually reward them with coupons. And after every 3 months, this centre will open a bazaar, and with the accumulated coupons that the individual students have, they can trade with anything they want, for example food for their family or proper clothes. This way it motivates them to pursue their education and helped them in terms of survival too, at least we won't encourage them to just be beggars begging for money from foreigners on streets.
So this day, we went to take a look at their environment and start setting up our booths, my group is in charge of the clothes booth. Basically this day is just preparing our booths. Pictures bomb now~

This is all for Day 1. Shall update Day 2 tmr. Miss Cambodia so much already, do hope i can visit there again next time, anyway i've made new friends during the trip!! :)
Shall unpack part of my luggage & go for shower! I've got some souvenirs for some of you :)
